Question about 1996 Toyota Previa
I hate to say this, but what they told you seems to be correct. The catalytic converter is somewhat expensive for this vehicle because an O.E. converter must be used. If you were to install an aftermarket converter on this vehice, it would still not pass the emission's test. Furthermore replacing the oxygen sensor along with it is the only way to go.
