Question about 1992 Honda Civic

Civic my car runs in gas and from a few days the water from the radiator reduces.my machanic say`s my engine gasket is weak.how can i soplve the problem??

I believe you need a new head gasket (a few days the water from the radiator reduces) If your head gasket is bad, you will lose coolant, countrycurt0

Car is running hot but the radiater is fine and the fan is working


The overheating of the car can be due to many reasons and you need to check on each one to confirm the working of the system.
1. In the first place the working of the engine must be assessed. it must be smooth with a good indication that the tuning timing and the power seems good. This will confirm that the settings of the engine is good and so there is less scope that the engine seems to heat up on its own.
2. Secondly the radiator pressure cap must be tight and good, the radiator MUST not loose coolant after a run or in a few days time- since this must be a sealed system and there is no scope of water overflow or loss unless there is a leak- sometimes the leak is too microscopic as under high pressure only steam might escape and so reduce the coolant. So check for leaks while the engine is hot , specially the radiator, the hose or the fittings.
3. The working of the water pump must be good to ensure a good flow and circulation, so check for leak in the water pump, check for presence of water in the exhaust or leaking on the engine gaskets.
4.Make sure that the coolant is good and clean if not drain and refill , if there is presence of rust please have a good flushing of the radiator or else the chances are that the radiator ports can be blocked and reduce the efficiency of the cooling .
5. Finally the cooling fan, the radiator fan must be working, check the thermostat/thermistor to work accordingly with good flow, have a good water jet wash on the radiator for a clean radiator cooling fin exposure.

My 1988 toyota crissida runs hot,Idles to high and hardly has any power.Somedays its fine and has power but always runs hot

Acts like its overheating, the antifreeze looks like its boiling when the car is running is that a sign of gaskets or it running into the oil pan itself? the cruise light comes on as its dieing.

My car runs hot and leaks antifreeze. I have replaced the thermostat and water pump. It doesn't do it constantly, it can go all day with out doing it and sometimes it leaks like crazy.

Dear Sir, My honda Civic 2003, is getting hot while driving. once its heat gage shows full heat. now its radiator coolent water level is getting low every day, so i'm pauring watter every day now. could...


It's likely that a head gasket is blown, causing fluid to go out of the exhaust pipe especially if you see none on the ground. You might smell a 'sweet' antifreeze/water smell out of the pipe at idle.

What could make my 03 civic ex overheat and cool down then overheat again while losing heat inside??? Already replaced radiator, water pump, thermostat.... motor


your heater has apparently restricted the coolant flow....hopefully a good system back flushing will cure the problem....use a flush obtained from a parts house....I would buy the hose kit for flushing as well...good luck to you

Replaced thermostat on 1997 altima but temp still rises after a few minutes. Have to keep heater on to lower temp. Sometimes temp will rise on an incline.


could be a head gasket that is your problem,are you using half antifreeze and half water ?take radiator cap off and smel. the fluid while you let engine warm up if you smell gas or exhaust type gases then its going to be a head gasket that is bad ..l

My subaru 1996 250t non turbo over heats after running for awhile, radiator emptys out, dosent seem to have any holes/leaks but there is water on the underside of hood surgesting it coming out of radiator...


refill rad start car wait 3- 5 min now look in rad since you never put rad cap on

if low fill
if not low check temp gage if high them it's time for thermostat if reaching temp slowely make sure rad fan coming on
no fan ? check fuses and releys both good then it's a sensor and will likely require a quick trip to see boby da mechanic

89 honda civic lx overheating


Thats my guess, one hose leak, two head gasket, three, crack in head somewhere. Of course make sure the thermastat is working. If it is seized thats a problem to. If you get the head off make sure it is resurfaced before you install the head gasket. Good luck
