Where is my transmission sensor relay located on my 2003 kia optima?

Its also known as a "prndl "switch....prindle switch, its not a relay. It tells the trans what gear to go into.

Location of speed sensor 96 Jeep Cherokee

which one?
if the rear transmission, it just is a conn, and 1 screw.
a 96 -2006 sure.
42RE transmission or what? there are 2.
why not post the DTC error so we can be on the same page,?
page 191 covers it here , under tranny

some cars have up to 4 speed sensors, 2 on engine and 2 in tranny.
so... guessing page p191 tail
there is also a backup sensor for that. so.....
post DTC error and WIN, speed sensors means zero.
my guys is net rumor told you trans shifts bad and is VSS bad?
or did you scan it and see a live error, DTC,
that be best, not rumors, (and do clean it and retest )

Sounds like a bad speed sensor to me, why would the shop give it back to you if it is not shifting?Does the trans take off in low gear or is it stuck in third?Check fuses and ecm2 fuse.

My wife's car started stalling and would die at a stop light. Had the car in shop and was told the camshaft sensor was my problem. Had it replaced and the car got worse. Now I'm told I need a new...

Forget what things do.
Your vehicle has never been properly diagnosed.
You need to find a local repair shop that works on a lot of Nissans and is up to speed on current technology.
To start with a stalling issues and go to a cam sensor, trans, etc, tells me that you haven't found mechanics with the necessary skills to repair todays high tech vehicles.

CANT FIND WHERE THE SPEED SENSOR IS NO MY 1995 OLDSMOBILE AURORA

hi , their is two different speed sensors on your vehicle one is the input speed sensor which is inside the transmission and the transmission will have to be removed to replace it the other one s the output speed sensor is located directly above the passenger side trans-axle shaft. your input sensor is the sensor which tells the transmission when to shift and the output speed sensor tells the speedometer what it should display and both those parts are fairly cheap they are around 15-25 dollars but just remember if your input speed sensor is bad it is gonna cost you a minimum of 1000 dollars to have a mechanic fix as the transmission needs to be removed hope this is what you needed

that was old school , vehicles with the turbo 400 transmission are equipped with an ECM controlled downshift system , when vehicle is at speeds below 70 mph a forced (detent) downshift is possible by fully depressing the accelerator ,when the ECM detects a drop in manifold vacuum (high map sensor reading) the downshift control relay is energized by the ECM , the relay detects battery voltage to the detent solenoid in the transmission to open open an oriface to force the transmission to downshift ..... if yours is not working i would first check the downshift relay , under hood , picture is so bad i can't tell , looks like on the firewall more to the passenger side , next to fuel pump relay , if it needs more diag than that maybe you should get an estimate for repair from a trans shop or such , hope ya fix it , cheers .
