Question about 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
The service manual says to use a code checker to find out what the trouble codes are, but the parts places (Autozone, NAPA, etc) says you cannot. Shorting out the pins does not cause the service engine light to blink codes either. How do I find the trouble codes?
According to the book, it is OBD 1. Most of the autopart places do not have the correct equipment to hook up to this car. You will have to find a garage that has the correct equipment. I found a tire place locally that had the correct equipment, and got a code in seconds.
