I have a red leak that appears to be dripping from the 2 lines that run near the housing of my 94 blazer. I noticed two separate drip trails parallel from each other, about a foot or so, when I backed up my drive into the garage. I let it sit and after a few hours I saw the 2 lines were wet and dripping red fluid. I wiped them down and its not dripping anymore, but the vehicle has been sitting for a couple days. I checked the trans stick and it shows full/cold. What do you think? Can I drive it without causing damage. Its old and has over 125000 miles. I need it for small trips!. any help will be appreciated. Does it sound like the trans?

No it does not sound like the transmission is bad,It sounds like a transmission line or fitting is leaking. You can try and pinpoint the leak by cleaning all the fluids off the lines, drive around the block and park. Then try and find leak.Look at fittings at the transmission, check fittings at radiator. If you find that one is loose try and tighten it.With that many miles i would say do not use any stop leak additives.

Yes it sounds like the tranny. Possible an easy fix though. There are two line that go from the tranny to the radiator or possibly a trans cooler. The connections may be lose. There is a cheap way to fix this and that is buying the brass barbed hose fittings that will screw into were the existing line go into the tranny and get transmission cooler hose and run new lines. Or replace it with original parts. I would like to say you are probably be fine to drive it as is just make sure to keep fluid level full. But if they come completely out or break lose you will be stuck and will lose all 7 to ten quarts of tranny fluid. Also when you check you tranny fluid it has to at operating temp and the engine running. Good luck hope this helps.

2000 ford excursion...when i go over 65mph the transmission starts 2 leak & i see a trail of smoke behind me...now i need a new dipstick housing because it just broke half way up....could it be leaking...

Sounds plausible that if the dipstick housing is broken, has a crack or hole that fluid could come out and drip on the exhaust manifold causing smoke. This works similarly to an oil dipstick, if you check the fluid cold and notice where the oil is on the dipstick then start the vehicle and shut if off and check the fluid again the oil will be higher on the dipstick (pressure).

I hope this helps!

Heater core

If anti-freeze is actually coming out of the drain tube then yes, you could very well have a bad heater core. You may also be able to smell antifreeze while inside the vehicle if it is leaking. [Its a kind of sickly sweet smell] If just clear water is dripping out then this is most likely from normal condensation that is collecting and dripping off of the air conditioning evaporator core as the air conditioner runs. This condensation collects in the heater, a/c housing then drips out of the same little drain. Water from normal condensation will evaporate off of cement or pavement pretty quickly but antifreeze takes quite a while to evaporate away and feels slimy to the touch. It doesn't take much of an antifreeze leak before the cooling system gets low on so make sure you don't run low on coolant which can cause the engine to overheat.

I have leak near the heating core of my 94 olds achieva. Is there a drain there?

Yes. there is a drain for the a/c near the heater core connections. Water should drip from it when the a/c is running. But if the heater core is leaking, antifreeze will drip or run from this drain.

Leaking clutch 85 s10 blazer when I bleed the slave cylinder oil leaks out the bell housing

First, unless you have just done some clutch work you should not need to be bleeding the clutch hydraulic system...that shows that it's leaking. There is nothing inside the bellhousing that has anything to do with clutch fluid, so, the fluid you see is either engine or transmission oil (rear main seal or seal on trans input shaft) Could it be that the clutch slave is leaking and it's running down and dripping at the bottom of the housing? (clean it up and check that)

Water leaking

The weep hole of the water pump may be leaking. You see the water drip at the lower part of the front of the engine. After you park the truck, slide under the front of it and with a flash light look at the bottom of the water pump and see if you see a trail of water happening there.
