Try pressing at the far right lower corner (firm pressure) - then if that won't work - try on the far right - then center. Mine acts up like this all the time. Tricky to keep closed as well. Never few open but hard to shut/open at times. Good luck! Oh, make sure you haven't put something in there that over-extends to the front - this could also be a problem with opening it.

The radio, DVD and CD only function when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCESSORY positions .Your problem sounds like the radio and possibly the other affected devices are lacking power in the accessory position. This may be an issue with the ignition switch. These vans have a high failure rate of the ignition switch [not to be confused with the lock cylinder, where you insert the key] The power door locks should always have power. The fuse for the radio is in the Interior Fuse panel. It is either located to the left of the steering wheel under the dash or possibly in a covered area of the dash on the drivers side or under a panel on the console under the dash. Check the side of the dash on the drivers side covered by the door when it is closed. Open the drivers door and look at that area for a cover you can remove to access a fuse panel.
The radio fuses are usually located under the dashboard on the drivers side or in a compartment you can access only when the drivers door is open on the side of the exposed dashboard. The Power Door Fuses are most likely located on the driver side under a cover in the Engine compartment.

police models have a connection for the speakers (passenger floorboard under floor mat) to connect the speakers to the police radios.
If they had the speakers connected to their radios, they may have unhooked them and not connected them back to the radio.
The wires are brown, grey, blue and light blue. All into a blue connector.
Try this: Remove the front radio surround fascia, and remove the radio. Disconnect all of the wiring connections behind the radio, wait a minute and plug them all back in. SOmetimes, this resets the radio, and allows that door to be put back into the open position. Works for me about 85% of the time.
