It is located on the inlet for the throttlebody on a section between the throttlebody and the air intake tube from the airbox. Do you have a North American model or a European model? The European model didn't require an IAT sensor. Just the North American model to meet EPA requirements. If it's a North Americal model, the sensor should be located in the air cleaner and have 2 small hoses attatched to it. have a good day !!

Check your IAT sensor, located on the top of the throtle, and calso check your Throtle possition sensor.

I am installing a chip and cant located the IAT in my 2009 ford mustang. please help. if it was located somewhere else please describe in full where that is located too thanks!

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (IAT) is normally located at the engine air filter housing for old models but i think yours its incorporated with the mass air flow unit (assembly). Thats the sensor after the air filter

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Removal and Installation
  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301) .
  1. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring (12A581) from intake air temperature sensor (IAT sensor) (12A697) .
  1. Remove intake air temperature sensor from air cleaner outlet tube (9B659). (This is the tube that goes from the air cleaner to the engine.)
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten intake air temperature sensor securely.

The IAT or MAT sensor (as equipped), is a thermistor (resistor which changes value based on temperature) mounted either in the air intake snorkel or the manifold (depending on the application).

Iat sensor location

it should be located somewhere on the air intake tubes to the engine,it usually has tabs or is slotted in-has to be somewhere on the air intake to get the "intake air temperature" since is the sensor for it,this should take care of it
