Before I can give any solutions, I need to know a few more things. Do the dash lights get significantly less bright when you try and start engine, are you getting any click sounds when you tur the key.. Please describe in detail what is happening when the key is turned, or is there nothing at all?

CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS. IF BATTERY CABLES TIGHT AND BATTERY CABLES AND BATTERY POST CLEAN FREE FROM CORROSION. STARTER COULD BE BAD.TAP STARTER SEE IF IT CRANKS. IF NO REMOVE STARTER HAVE IT BENCH TEST. TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLES TO KEEP FROM LOSING RADIO CODE.

IF STARTER TURNING OVER THE ENGINE, AND ITS NOT STARTING, YOU HAVE LEAKING FUEL INJECTORS FLOODING OUT THE ENGINE.CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.

Turn the ignition on, but don't try to start it. leave it on for ten minutes, then turn it off, don't take the key out. try to start it. you may have todo this three times, rememeber don't take the key out.

Wont start

i had this problem look at your key closely and see if the little chip in it is worn down if its not making contact because its worn down you will have to replace the key. the easiest way to see if its the key is just take the key to the dealership and see if they can read the chip with their machine. bring the registration with you so you have the vin and proof of ownership and you can get a new key made for like 35 bucks

Landrover discovery wont start but battery is good

This usually is the starter, especially if your truck has had an oil leak going for a while as the oil will run down into the starter and cause it to intermittenly fail. Also check your battery terminals and make sure you have a good connectivity.

95 cutlas sup. you can drive it park take the key out go back latter the car wont start.my husband can come get me when he gets there some times it will start sometime not.he thinks it the chip in the key....

Check lights, etc, check battery grounding. If that turns up nothing, your husband just may be right! You also need to check power at small wire connection on starter with key turned to start position . There should be 12v at large connection and 12v with key turned at small one! If there is power at small lead, starter may be bad.
