Question about 2002 Hyundai Accent

2 Answers

Brake problem I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent and since the start of the year I am having problems with my brakes. Two years ago, a friend accidentally put transmission fluid instead of brakes fluid in my car. The car worked fine since then. At the start of 2006, I changed my brake pads and shoes and from then, my brakes have been binding (the brakes peddle gets stiff, I smell the brakes, the tire gets hot and the car can???t move). This problem sometimes happens when I???m in traffic and have to use brakes a lot. I have carried it to the makers of the car Neal and Massy (Trinidad, West Indies) and after two times sending the car there, the problem still exists. So far they have changed the master cylinder, rotors, disc pads and calipers. Is this a problem with Accents? How do I solve this problem?

Nothing bad happened. So after this operation I believe you'll be able to pour out the system with regular brake liquid.

What is the ignition immobilizer on a 2000 accent

Hello William. On standard transmissions you have to press down the clutch to start the car, and on automatic transmissions you have to press down on the brake pedal in order to start the car. Look for your immobilizer under the dash at clutch or brake pedals depending on trans. Hope this was helpful, GOOD LUCK.

The special vaccum they are talking about virtually sucks the new brake fluid through as it is forcing the old fluid out hence not allowing air into the lines. If air gets into the brake fluid lines this is when you can get brake failure.

Brake fluid

If you don,t know please ask a friendly mechanical type person to show , because you must put the right amount in. If you are losing brake fluid then you have a leak somewhere. Most lekly at the rear brake cylinder.
