Very loud Hum under driver side

My wife went to go to work this morning, and she said that a very loud hum started just as she was leaving the driveway. The ABS light came on. But even when you turn the truck off and take the key out. The hum is still there. When I disconnected the battery, then reconnected it. The hum just comes back (without even putting in the key). Directly under the drivers seats on the underbelly of the truck, the hum is coming from a black round thingy. I thought that was the inline fuel pump. Any ideas of what this could be!?
Thank you in advance,
James

I concur. The ABS pump gets an internal short and runs continuously even when you turn off the ignition key. Mine was replaced under warranty but I believe parts and labor are around $1100 US at a dealer. Note, the dealer is the only place you can buy it, no aftermarkets to my knowledge. You could go to a junk yard and pull one of a silverado there?

There is an ABS fuse under the hood that you can take out, and the noise will quit. The noise is accually your ABS pump. They are kind of expensive.

When i put the car in drive it just sits and theres this loud clunky/rattling revving sound?

the hum noise is a worn wheel bearing maybe from getting so hot it burnt the bearing. the rev and bang was your engine blowing. it will cost more money to fix these problems then just getting another car like this one.

My car vibrates causing this loud hum while

Hi:
;You most likely have a wheel bearling or hub assembly that is bad. You should be able to narrow the hum down to one side or the other. Other possibilities are a noisy engine accessory, such as a bad bearing on a alternator, or power steering pump, but you should be able to make that noise show up, just by rev ving up the engine, so if it only shows up when the car is moving, check out your wheel bearings.
