Where is my fuel filter?
If you still have one it will be on the frame rail right about the transmission crossmember on drivers side. this is around the year chevy started using the in tank filter which you dont replace

I'm not sure on an 04', but my 01' Silverado has it mounted to the inner frame rail (under the truck) on the drivers side just behind the drivers door. The fuel line comes out of the tank, runs along the frame, goes into the filter, then continues on to the engine bay.
