pretty much the same thing but with a whining noise that got really bad, then, a bearing in the transfer case is what went. now, only the front wheels will go, and the back feels like it has no power, but it shifts fine, just revs high on take off, but no more noise

Not normally. When you say 'gearbox', you mean the transmission and not the rear-end, right? What does it do now? Any noise? Does reverse still work?

If all the gears work, then what exactly is it doing wrong now? Does the vehicle move at all when you try to drive?

I believe you are talking about the 'throw-out' bearing, or the clutch bearing, which is not part of the gear box. That is the bearing that pushes against the pressure plate of the clutch to take the pressure off of the clutch disk which, in turn, disconnects the direct link between the engine and the transmission when you press the clutch pedal. If the throw-out bearing goes out, (usually makes a grinding sound a few days to a few weeks before it goes,) it will either sieze and make an even more hellish noise, or it will shatter and the clutch arm, which connects the clutch pedal linkage to the throw-out bearing, will have nothing to push against and it will act like you never push the clutch pedal. It would still go into and out of gear when the engine is stopped, or the transmission will grind when the engine is running and you try to put it in gear, even when you are pushing the pedal. Anyway, sounds like they fixed it. I hope everything is working properly now.

No drive

sounds like the gearbox might have unexpectedly gave way, best thing to do is take it to a dealer and have them do a diagnostic check to see any error codes that come up. could be a gear selector inside has slipped off.

I was driving when my warning park brake light as well as my warning battery light went on when I was pressing on the gas pedal. As soon as I let go of it, they turned off, as I pressed again then went on....

It's your alternator. I would get it fixed asap or you will be stranded. My mechanic said that mine caught a small fire when he pulled it in the garage. Auto Zone has rebuilt ones.
