First, check to make sure your cooling fan is working, if not , could be fan motor , relay or temp sensor. if it is, it may be a clogged radiator?? start with these things first, they are the easest ...there are a lot more things it could be... that will be more involved (harder) to get into...Hope this helps you ?? Good Luck

2001 DEVILLE HAS NO LEAKS BUT RUNS HOT. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM,WATER PUMP OR THERMOSTAT.

I would change both first get a fail proof thermostat that way it would never over heat put it in and see if you got heat. if you got heat thermostat is good and water pump check your fans and make sure coolent is full make sure oil looks good you don't want to over heat that car or you will burn hea

98 caddy deville overheating changed the water pump and thermostat

Run the car without the thermostad to see if it still overheats. If so check the heat sensor it might be faulty.

Over heating lost water once and its not head gasket or head what is it

This can be a few different things..

Thermostat stuck, Elect fan not working, leak in one of the coolant hoses/lines...

Does it only overheat while at a dead stop and cool down while driving? Or does it overheat no matter what?

I have a 1997 cadillac deville and it keep over heating. i have changed the hose out twice and checked for leaks, plus i my fan is working fine...

Check the waterpump and thermostat. When the waterpump doesn't turn, engine heat is not transported to the radiator. When the thermostat doesn't open once warm the same happens - no engine cooling.

The radiator should be hot op top and cooler at the bottom. If it's cold allover then there's no cooling fluid transport
