I have the same problem. Have you checked the fuses and had a diagnostic electrical check? I am going to have a diagnostic check Monday, but from what I have read so far it may be the circuit board. I have read this is a very common problem in these vehicles between 90-98.

Having electrical problems. head lamps, front side markers, and rear license plate lights work but i've got no power to tail lights or any of my interior lights or instruments. were should i start?

I just counted on my fingers and your vehicle is almost 30 years old.
Depending on where you are, there is a very good chance that there is corrosion or rust to deal with.
If it were me, I'd start with a voltmeter and a continuity meter and start checking every fuse, the fuse panels, the connectors, the bulb receptacles, etc.
Your car could be a candidate for a frame up restoration.
What a great project to consider.
Best of luck.

1987 toyota pickup lost all electrical except headlights

What works? Just headlights? Does anything electrical work that does not need the ignition switch to be in the on position? Possibly four way flashers, brake lights, horn, interior light, dash lights in instrument panel as well as headlights should all work without the key in the ignition and in the acc or on position. If this is what you have, then I would say you need to replace the ignition switch.
Hope this helps.

Sound like a short in the electrical system. do you have nay water getting in to the interior of the vehicle. Water getting behind the instrument panel?

Digital odometer barely illuminates and is about

First thing to check is the interior light / dome light control. It is usually located to the left of your instrument panel (where your odometer is located). It you move this dial up or down it will control the intensity of interior lighting.

However, if that does not cure the issue, it is possible that you have a short somewhere, or a bad bulb for the instrument panel. At that point, I'd take it to your local repair facility and have them check it out. Changing interior lighting or testing for electrical failures can be a difficult task.

I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. My issue is with the interior instrument lights, none of them work. I checked ALL fuses inside and out of the vehicle and all tested GOOD. Guages work and Radio display works...

It is the headlight switch, very common problem on jeeps, my 96 grand cherokee dose the same but most times the lights will flicker. Try spraying a small amount of WD-40 in to the panel dimmer switch and then move it around and kind of jiggle it around.
