Question about 1998 Buick LeSabre
The ac turns on but no blower. Took out motor and tested works. Do not have a clue to problem. There is also no blower for heat mode. Auto setting or manual setting same results.
On this vehicle there is a blower motor control module located on the right side of the vehicle inside the engine compartment behind a relay cover. You have to remove the cover and unbolt the retainers holding the relay box to gain access to the module which in mounted into the evaporator duct just behind the duct. If you jump a wire from the red to the puple wire (with key in the on position) the blower should come on. The red wire is in the two wire connector and the purple wire is in the 4 wire connector. if the motor comes on check to see if you have 6 volts on the gray wire with a black tracer located in the 4 wire connector. If you do the blower motor control module has failed. This is a rather common failure on this model.
