Question about 2006 Volkswagen Jetta
I had the same problem with my 06 TDI, it ended up being a weak filament in the small marker bulb located in the high beam housing . The light was on and off for months before I NOTICED ON 1 OCCASION THAT THE MARKER LIGHT WAS OUT.

The same thing happened to me. I checked the lights a million times! About 2 weeks later one of the brake lights when out. Most likely it detects "less power" and thinks it's already out. Just be patient even though the warning is annoying! LOL Check the lights often until you find the one that's out.
