ObdII code p1709 "undefined error - check owners manual"

I show that this code is for the ECT sensor. Check the connector to it on the engine near the thermostat housing, if it is ok replace the sensor. There is a lot of confusion on the codes definition so hop I got this right, if not I apologize in advance.

P1490 Low Speed Fan CTRL Relay Circuit. You need to check and make sure the cooling fan is coming on when the engine reaches operating temperature and when you turn the A/C on. If not, replace the Low Speed Fan relay.

My check engine light came on after i put freon in the car for the air condition. my friend has a computer that we hooked up to the car to find out what the problem was and this code came up P1490, what...

When you get that code it means that the computer isn't detecting the relay kicking in and starting the cooling fan.
In most cases replacing the relay for the fan will cure that problem and you can erase the code with scanner once the problem is repaired
P1490 Low Speed Fan CTRL Relay Circuit - you need to check and make sure the cooling fan is coming on when it suppose to.

Check engine light code 46? the guy that changed my oil said it was a loose bolt behind the engine or drive shaft.. I am not sure about the code number if I remember correctly.

Codes are usually 3 digits and will start with start with a letter...P(Powertrain), B (Body), C(Chassis) or U(undefined).
The majority of codes are power train codes and I looked at P046 and there is no such code.

The fastest way to find out the problem is go to an auto parts store and ask them to use their code scanner. They tpically will do this for free and then tell you what the codes mean.
