Go back to your original post or look it up in your problems you submitted. from your profile....then from there you can rate the guy ( ronnie) who answered your inquiry.

do not click the submit another problem button if you want to add a comment or continue your communication with the expert..because that would be considered as another problem..aand you would not be able to rate the expert and would not post the original problem...

now you have to rate me again with this posting...

tnx for using fixya,

i hope i answered your inquiry..

2001 pontiac bonneville sse super charge engian what typ of gas to put in

the higher the compression ratio the higher the octane rating required
normal compression ratio 10 or 11:1 will run on 91 or 95 octane rating
higher will require 100-110 octane rating or aircraft engine gas
superchargers only increase the amount of air available for combustion
it is the compression ratio that determines the octane rating required

How to heat treat metal

Need a suspension bolt but you have the correct size but not the right grade of steel? All you need is a propane torch & a thermometer that reads up to 2000 degrees. The temprature to get the steel hot at first is 1700 drgrees. A thermometer that reads up to 2000 degrees is better to have than one that reads a lower setting. Upon doing so then you use a channel lock or pliers to DUNK & QUENCH THE STEEL TILL COLD. This will take about 30 to 60 seconds. Next you heat the steel up to 700 degrees and let it air cool until cold. A half inch bolt will take about an hour to cool down before using... This process will give you a grade 80 type of rating. 3/8" at this rating will take a stress of 3500 pounds. . Of course this is rated half of the stress rating which is 7000 pounds. To get a higher rating the steel must be oil dipped to get a 100 grade rating which has to be done at a heat treating facility instead

We have a heavy duty tow bar so what is the towing capacity

How do I find my hitch system rating? Your hitch system is comprised of three components, the Hitch that is attached to the frame of your car, the Ball Mount (drawbar) and the Hitch Ball. Each component has a rating for capacity. The LOWEST rating of the three components determines the overall rating of your complete hitch system. For instance, you can have a 3500 lb hitch and ball mount, with a 2000 lb ball. Your hitch system is limited to the 2000 lbs towing capacity.

What is the gross axle weight rating for a Dana 44 front axle?

I take it that you are referring to a real truck
if so I would say that the 8f is the rating of the axle as 8 ton
however if you go on line to dana and find an axle rating page it will have a list of all dana axles and their rated capacity.

Need hitch system rating

hitch systems ( tow bars ) have to be certified for a set load rating' If has not got a plate attached that has the certificate and rating on it then you will need to have it certified by an engineer
If it is from a tow bar shop and is of a reputable manufacturer then contact the shop and details will be available from them

What no. of fuse is 4 the radio

Locate the fuse box. Use your owners manual and look for fusebox in the index.

Sometimes it is under the hood/bonnet and sometimes it is under the dashboard in the passenger cabin.

It can be mounted under the driver's side or the passenger side. It may also be mounted beside the door A-pillars.

When you remove the lid or cover, look inside and there should be a guide that identifies the location of each fuse, what is protects and its rating. You MUST replace the blown fuse with the rating specified on the guide, NEVER one of a higher rating.

Also, there may be an 'in-line' fuse between the fuse panel and the radio unit. This will be in the wiring loom between the fuse box and the radio. You may have to move the seats back to get access to under the dashboard. This is usually a euro fuse (colour coded) or a glass fuse 1 1/4" long. Always replace this fuse with one of equal rating - NEVER higher rating.

Recommended tyre pressure

It depends on the rating of the tire. They are rated as such as S, T, ect. Depending on that rating specify a the speed code. Go online and check for tires and speed rating and you should get your answer. Also usually the higher the speed rating the worse the warranty. When you buy the tires they will be able to tell you what the rating is. Good luck.

Can you please give me the specific oil required for the vehicle?

5w30 conventional, minimum rating SM (all modern quality automobile oils will hold this rating). you may use any brand, try to stick to a major brand. you can also use synthetic oils, which use the same rating system, but provide further protection for your engine. hope this is helpful!

I have to replace my tire on my Audi A6 2001- i have 3 tires saying it is 205/55R16 91V and the fourth saying it is 205/55R16 91W. Do I need 'W's or 'V's??

The W or V refers to the speed rating of the tyre. Both V and W tyres have a high speed rating.

Generally it's good practice to use the same type of tyre.
