Question about 1992 Ford Crown Victoria
I have a crown victoria 1992 and the engin runs smoothly but I have a yellow lamp is on all the time.
The most common reason for the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on those is a plugged EGR PASSAGE or the bad PFE SENSO the codes are in the 400 series,401,403, this passage is under the elbow that is on top of the intake manifold, it comes up and becomes the throttle body. take it off clean the C shaped groove in the intake manifold and use a thin wire to clean inside the very small hole as far as you can use carb cleaner if you need to, use gaskets from the dealer when you go back togother and NO SEALER AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also change the PFE sensor its mignt be a metas box with two rubber hoses it will be on the rear of the intake where you will be working the new updated one is plastic and comes with new hoses buy this AT FORD and install it follow the instructions to the letter do not buy these parts at a parts store no matter the price, quality is key here
Please rate this a fixya Thank you and contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need further help on this problem
