Sometimes the cause of this is the steering wheel is turned to the left or right when you shut the engine off and it holds pressure against the steering lock mechanism. Try turning the steering wheel hard to the left or right while trying to turn the key and see if that solves your problem.

I accidently put another key in my ignition of my 2001hyundai accent and now my key won't start the car

Do you mean that after you removed the wrong key your original key wont go in, or do you mean using your original key and turning the starter it wont start or even turn the ignition on. If you tried to turn the ignition switch with the wrong key, sometime it will cause the lock to turn freely as an anti theft measure. You should be able to find the way to fix this in the user manual that comes with the car.

My 2008 gran prix wont start with the key ,but will start with remote, the key turns but wont crank, the car will stay running after I put key in and turn key on.

suspect a fault with the ignition switch on the back of the steering lock barrel, but without a look i couldnt tell you correctly .Suggest you ask a local mechanic but if iam right then i would fit a push switch under steering column

Does the emobilizer and key have to be replaced if the wrong key was put in ignition and had to be pulled and wiggled pretty hard to remove now it wont start

When you turn the ignition switch to ON(II), the immobilizer system indicator should come on for a few seconds, then go out. If the indicator starts to blink, it means the system does not recognize the coding of the key. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK(0), remove the key, reinsert it, and turn the switch to ON(II) again. If the system repeatedly does not recognize the coding of your key will need a repair.

99 ford explorer changed ignition now wont start

If your vehicle was towed, check the fuel pump intertia switch located near the top of the passenger side kick panel.
if you changed the key, you will be having an antitheft problem.
you could try putting an original key at the lock cylinder while turning the new key, it may allow it to start... if so, new key will require programming, or have the new lock cylinder coded to the old keys.

99 Regal GS 3800 supercharged wont crank key in ignition all lights go off and car does nothing help!!!

Sounds like you may have possibly TWO problems here. The ignition key not turning past the run position or even to the run position is most likely a lock cylinder issue and may be fixed by replacing the ignition lock cylinder, As for the power being killed when turning the ignition to the start position, that sounds like a defective ignition switch. these items are two seperate parts. The reason for the turn signal issue may be related to the ignition switch fault.
Hope this helps.

How do i know whether to change the ignition switch or the ignition lock ( cylinder& keys) to my 2001 ford f-150

Well if the lock is turning the switch, the lock is doing its job.
Sometimes the link between the lock and the switch wears out, but thats rare.

Car immobilisor

you might be able to reprogram the key, but you can only do this if you have two keys, what you need to do is put one key in the ignition turn the ignition on ( not over ) put the key that needs reprogramming into the drivers door and lock the vehicle with the key not the button, wait 10 seconds, remove the key, then press the unlock on the fobb, turn ignition off, remove key from ignition, put in the key that you just unlocked the car with and turn ignition do not turn over, turn off ignition, remove key wait 10 seconds, then put key back in then you should be able to turn it over as normal, if that does not work you will have to take key to be reprogramed at the main dealer...hope this helps

1993 toyota camry ignition wont turn

the steering wheel SHOULD be locked if the key is not in the ignition and turned to the 1st position.  If you can turn the steering wheel more than an inch or so without the key n the first position,  the ignition switch (read: thingy you put the key in) is bad.
Sometimes you may have to move the steering wheel slightly to one side or the other to get the key to turn,  this in itself is not a cause for alarm. Try it and let us know.  If this doesn't work, you are probably looking at a couple hundred dollars parts and labor to get the switch/steering wheel lock mechanism fixed.
