Question about 1997 Jeep Wrangler
Where do i wire the lights to and do i need anything besides some wire
You will need:
inline fuse 5 or 10 amp
you will need to run the lights where you desire. you will need to take one wire this will be the ground. you will need to find a ground for the wire close to the last light you will be connecting.
once you have found the ground connect the wire to it. usually to the frame of the vehicle. than take the remainder of the wire and connect the ground on each light. You can do this by taking the wire and running straight across the lights. you will need to bear a small part of the wire so you can wrap the wire that is coming out of the light to the ground.
once you have completed that you will need to connect the ground wire to the toggle switch.
now you are ready to run the hot. take the second wire and put the end of it on the last light farthest from the switch. and connect the wire from the light to the hot wire. than string it across the other lights. you will need to bear a small opening in the wire at each light like you have done for the ground. you will need to connect the lights together on the hot wire.
now once this has been done. take the end of the wire and find your fuse box. find your light fuse. take the fuse out of the socket. you will need to bear the hot wire and wrap it around one of the slats on the fuse. than take the remainder of the wire and connect it to your toggle switch.
you should be good to go when this has been completed.
