Question about 2000 Renault 181
I have a clio RN 1.2 1998 renault and need to change the rear wheel bearing before i start i need your assistance on tight the outer nut should be and any other tech. issues i might need to observe before getting on with it .ash witney uk
The rear nut is unlike most japanese cars where it must be torqued t ensure the bearing isnt too tight or loose. a 30mm socket on a 1inch air gun is needed to loosen and tighten the nut. you will lso need a circlip plies and a pnematic press to push out the bearing towards the circlip end. when the old bearing is out use it on top of the ne one and press it in until you feel resistance. replace the circlip and refit hub. retighten the nut. job done
