Need to change front running light/ blinker bulb on my 2003 chevy trailblazer , how do i do it ?

Your grille and chrome bar are held to your truck with eight clips. You can see the top clips if you look. First VERY GENTLY!!! start pulling your grille until you start popping those clips out. Keep an eye on your chrome bar, because it is clipped into the headlight. GENTLY pull on the chrome bar at the headlight until the clips come off, then work your way over to the other headlight. The goal is to be take your time and be gentle until you have all the clips released. Set your grille aside(be careful not to scratch it). Each head light has two metal tabs on top of it, the outer tabs are slightly hidden in the fender. If you pull these tabs up, it will release the headlight from the frame of the truck(be careful not to let the headlight fall out and scratch your bumper). Once you have the headlight assembly out, you can access the blinker bulb sockets.

How do I free a headlight from its housing ?

You have to remove the trim from around the headlights first. The screws are torx and with them out the bezel should come right out. You will see a chrome ring around the headlight. There will be Philips or star screws holding this on, it's been a while but I think there is 2, one on top and one on bottom. They are short and usually very hard to get out, you may need to use Vice grips to get them turning. You will also see 2 other screws, one on the outside of the light and one on top. DO NOT turn these, they are for your adjustment. With the chrome ring off the light will fall ahead, unplug it and put the new one back in. Put the trim back on. Hope this helps.

Once you have the headlight assembly out, pop off the circle rubber cover on the back of the unit. Your bulbs will be inside there, and make sure you don't touch the bulb when removing it. Just reverse the process when your done changing your bulbs. Don't forget to put the rubber cap back on the headlamp unit before you re-install it.

it depends on which headlight it it. they can be reached from the inside of your hood area. you take off the cover leading to the light area take out the old and put in the new. remember to put everything back where you fond it and dont touch the new light with your fingers (use a clean cloth) the oils on your hands can ruin the bulb

Headlight needs to be replaced

All the instructions are in your car manual. Actually looks very difficult, but not really. Just go slow and allow about 20 minutes or more the first time you do this. My safety suggestion is that when you get to the point of pulling the light assembly out or forward, insert a thick towel between the headlight assembly and the chrome piece in front of it (the chrome piece with the Chevy bowtie that runs all across the front of the vehicle). If you do not, you will succeed in putting some pretty ugly scratches in the plastic lens.

reasons bulbs keep blowning.your head light bulbs is halogen bulbs.dont touch with bare hands.the oils on your hands will make them over heat and blow.so use clean gloves on your hands when replacing the head light bulbs.if all is good.check alternator out put.it could be overcharging causing too much current flow through electrical circuit blowing out bulbs.use a digital volt meter hook it battery with car running battery voltage should be 13.5 to 14.5 volts. if it is 15 to 16 volts too many volts.alternator is faulty.due to lock out features turn off radio before disconnecting battery cables so you wont lose radio playing code.

It spits gad bk out while pumping..and the front headlight lens are foggy looking

Hi:
You can make your head lights look better with a little elbow grease. First spray them down with a mild degreaser, like Simple green, and a soft cotton cloth, then rinse them off, and then get some car wax, and wax them several times, with a soft cotton cloth, and they should look better. If you want to make them look like new, 3M makes a restore kit for $20 or so , and they sell it at auto parts stores.

As far as your gas problem, your filler neck hose might have collapsed, and might need replaced.

Drivers side reverse light on while i drive.

Your car has rear fog lights. The rear light that you see come on with your headlights is your rear fog light. The light in your dash is the rear fog light indicator. To turn off your rear fog lghts push your headlight switch in half way. To turn off your front fog lights push in all of the way.
