Hello, the driver's side window will not go up on my 2001 Nissan Maxima. When I push the button for the window to go up I can hear the motor running, trying to push the window up. Thank you. BILL.

Either the attachment clips for the rail to glass have broken, or the gearing between the motor and the mechanism has broken. driver door almost always goes first and about 10 year is all you can expect out of any electric motor. get a new regulator, not a used one, and pay a glass store to install it. new regulators can be had at parts stores and on eBay. this will save you hundreds over a dealer. do not waste your time and knuckles attempting it yourself, you do not have the connectors and tools on hand.
