Do you know where I can find a parts breakdown for an '02 Kia Spectra. More specifically, I need the part # for one of the belts.

Hi Frankie,here's a video on replacing your timing belt,it is a Spectra,but the engine is the same as yours. Kia Spectra Timing Belt Replacement 1 8L DOHC Engine Part 1

1. Remove AC and P'S drive belt, if equipped.

2. Loosen generator mounting bolt and adjusting bolt.

3. Remove generator belt.

4. Install new generator belt and adjust to specification.

5. Tighten all bolts to specified torque.

Tightening torque mounting bolt: 27-38 Lb-ft (37- 52 N.m. 3.8 -5.3 kg-m)

Adjusting bolt: 14 - 18 Lb-ft (19 -26 N.m. 1.9 -2.6 kg-m)

6. Install AC and P'S drive belt, if equipped. and adjust to specification.

Hi.

The spectra uses a timing belt. The recommended interval to change is every 60K miles.

I'll bet your local dealer has an illustrated parts breakdown which would tell you and have a big box of the most common fasteners for the whole car.

Hope this helps you.

Any parts store can help you get the replacement belt. You just need the engine size and the year/make/model of the car.
