tail light cluster on passenger side does not light up when vehicle is started. The right turn signal works, but nothing else. Checked fuses on lt trn, rt trn fuses(swapped) problem did not migrate. Checked rr park lr park fuses under the hood and they look ok. I'm thinking it could be a harness problem, but dont have a wiring diragram.

    any suggestions?

Which tail light? - Brake? - Reverse? - Night Red?
Do all the other lights in the cluster unit work?
Check the supply fuses in the dash or engine bay, they should be mapped on the fuse box door or in the owners handbook.
Put a multimeter (Volts DC) across the supply lines and see if you get voltage (when operated).
If its brake, check the floor actuator (switch) behind the pedal shaft.
If its reverse, do the same for the actuator by the gearstick.
Hope this helps.

If the blinkers on the car are working when the trailer is not connected but they fail when you connect the trailer plug, it is because the LOAD of the bulbs on the trailer exceed the capacity of the BLINKER CIRCUIT of the vehicle. I would recommend replacing the tail lights on the trailer with LED tail lights. Did that on my travel trailer, and it solved the problem 100%

The tail lights do not work. The headlights, blinkers, and brake lights work. I checked the fuses and they are all good.

It can be faulty tail light bulb or its issue with tail light control switch or its wiring's are short.

Check the voltage at fuse slot of tail light.Do you receive 12 volt there. If not, then it says tail light switch is not receiving power supply.

I have a 1993 suburban 1500 the dash lights work, as do the head lights and front blinkers. However the tail lights, back blinkers and brake lights do not work,

You can go to Autozone.com and get fusebox and chassis diagrams for free. All you need to do is register the vehicle for free at the site. You can then print out what you need.

When you have the wiring diagrams, you just need to find a wire or fuse that provides power to all of the bulbs that are out. It is possible that both rear lightbulbs can break at the same time if the cargo door was slammed or if both lenses got wet. So check the bulbs just in case.

THIS PROBLEM MAY BE A DEFECTIVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH OR A DEFECTIVE BRAKE LIGHT GROUND, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE GROUNDED NEAR THE SOCKETS, YOU WILL NEED TO PULL THE TAIL LIGHT ASSMEBLIES OUT TO CHECK THESE GROUNDS TO THE SHEET METAL.

sounds like your electronic flasher unit maybe stuck causing the noise. they are generally located under the dash on driver side just below the instrument cluster.
