The 1993 has an obII computer so you can read the codes with a home PC and a product called Car Chip or you can take it to the emissions check station and give them 20.00 dollars (that what they charge in MD) or if you feel like spending about 150.00 dollars you can take it to your local Ford dealer, this will save you from looking for a casual hook-up this week-end.

98 f-150 runs rough after it warms up. 170,000 miles. Check engine light been on for years. I haven't had it reset and read recently.

Why would you tell anyone that?

Check for codes

You know the check light is on & is where you start

There is no resetting a check light
All your doing is clearing all data needed to diagnose
any issues
