Question about BMW 325
Sounds like either a sticky solinoid in the starter motor OR a faulty solinoid at the base of the gear selector.
1st try tapping the starter motor with a metal objecy eg screwdriver while someone else attempts to start. if it turns over you need to remove the startermotor & service. OR
If it's the selector solinoid try shifting the gear shift up & down while starting. if it turns then you need to replace the solinoid. or you can bypass it. just ask & i'll tell you how. hope this helps.
