SOURCE: isuzu car engine overheating

I had the same problem on a Vauxhall Montery (Same Car), The thermostat jams shut thus causing the engine to overheat and damages both the cylinder head and gasket, first thing to check is the enigne oil, pull out the dipstick and check for a white, spongy liquid. If present then your head gasket is passing water into the crankcase, If engine oil OK then fill up the coolant system and give the car a good old rev for a few minutes then check teh exhaust for water. In both cases the cylinder had needs to be removed, skimmed, gasket replaced and thermostat replaced.

SOURCE: drain fuel water separator

There is a plastic thumbwheel at the base of the seperator, turn it out until the fluid starts to flow(do not run the engine while doing this) it is a good idea to use a clear bottle or a clear bowl to catch the fluid. This way you can determine when the water has completly empyied from the filter. Thanks, Dana

Air separator on pump is dripping is separator bad

probably not
it's purpose is to separate water from the air before that water gets to the components using the air
water in the air ( humidity, moisture or water vapor) is everywhere and air under compression releases that moisture as water which is collected by the separator for removal either by an auto drain valve or drain tap

Drain water separator light on, will not start

for water to drain out there has to be a means for the fuel to be replaced. most probably the fuel didn't flow in as the water ran out so air got in as the water was coming out. That means that you will have to bleed the air out of the fuel system the same as if you changed a filter.

Having a problem mostly in mornings with my truck sputtering when giving it gas. Thought it might be fuel filters. Just changed them and still doing it. After driving a while it stops. What could this be.

Sounds like water in your fuel. Is it a diesel? If so there should be a fuel/water separator somewhere on the fuel system. The separator needs to be cleaned and drained and then filled up with clean fuel so as not to lose prime on the engine. Let me know how you make out with it. Good Luck!!!!

I have a peugeot 4007 and it is coming up on the electronic display remove water in separator? what does that mean and is it safe to drive?

It means your fuel system has a water trap to separate the water from the fuel. It is getting full of water and needs to be drained before it begins to let water back into the fuel system. If that happens, your engine will run very badly.

Water in fuel
During refueling, it is possible for
water-contaminated diesel fuel to be
pumped into your tank. Your vehicle
fuel system is equipped with a fuel
filter/water separator to remove water from the fuel. The WATER IN
FUEL light will illuminate when the ignition is turned to START (as part
of the light function check) and when the FCM/HFCM has a significant
quantity of water in it.
If the light illuminates when the engine is running, stop the vehicle as
soon as safely possible, shut off the engine, then drain the FCM/HFCM.
Refer to Draining the FCM/HFCM and changing the fuel filters in the
Maintenance and Specifications section of this supplement for the
drain procedure. Allowing water to stay in the system could result in
extensive damage to, or failure of, the fuel injection system
