My 2002 liberty is overheating. If if run the air and sit at a stop sign it will run hot and immediatly heat up. If I sit idle at any time it will heat up. Replaced radiater twice and relay keeps going bad have had to replace it three times and the harness for it once because it was burnt. It works for awhile but then goes bad again. Even had to replace the compressor

Have you tried to use the lowest thermostat - okay if you live in a place that you don't get real cold?

With all the problems you have had, I would take the vehicle to the best diagnostic computer in your area and see what it tells me.

I have a 1995 Grand Cherokee and still have original radio, relay, harness and compressor. I just clush the radiator and change antifreeze every two years, and change thermostats during flush.

Heat problem. Heater only works sometimes. Blows out almost AC temperature majority of the time. No engine overheating problems. May or may not be related to actuator issue (vent always open)

Check to see if your heating system is properly filled. Air in system can often prevent the proper flow of hot coolant into the radiator core resulting in your issue.

2002 Jeep liberty overheating with a/c on then blows hot air

so the RAD is going to be good with leaks that it?
it has to hold pressure or it will get too hot,
14psi pressure,
I take my IR heat gun and check all rad tubes
top and bottom
and find, 3 are not 50 degree, drop end to end read same
those 3 are clogged, now you have 2 reasons to replace that bad rad.
something smokes, what?
it dont overheat parked, what is outdoor temp, 75f like here or 0F?
it must overheat idling, if it does moving.
how fan it not?
wont overheat A/C OFF you said.
so its marginal

ether rad tubes clogged
or fans dead,
one or both.

My A/C blows hot air when stopped at a stop sign, idling, or sitting parked. Otherwise it seems to cool just fine. What could be the cause? Thanks.

check that the charge of r134a is sufficient in the system. When idling, the pressure should be 25psi to 45psi on the low side as measured by a pressure gauge usually on a hose connected to the low side with a can of freon.

2002 jeep liberty will just shut down while idling and stopped at stop lights and stop signs. will run while driving steady. any ideas?

HAVE IT SCAN TO CHECK FOR IDLE AIR CONTROL CODES.IF IDLE AIR CONTROL IS OKAY.YOU COULD HAVE BAD SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.A LEAKING INTAKE GASKET OR MISSING VACUUM HOSES OR LINES AND A FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR WILL CAUSE CAR TO SHUT OFF WHILE COMING TO A STOP.

02 Liberty having cold flashes!

1st check the coolant level. If it's low, it won't circulate thru heater core, and result is little or no heat. Let me know what u find, we can continue.
