Re: 1989 Mazda 323
Often you have an adjustment nut at the base of the lever, and the cable for the brake is attached there. By putting more tension on the nut, you can take up some slack. You may have to take part of the center console out to reach the base of the lever, but it shouldn't be difficult to do.

I've never seen a supercharger add-on for the 323. There was a 323GTX model for that year that came stock with a turbo and intercooler. If anyone would know about spuerchargers for that year it would be HKS.
Where the handbrake lever is,it will be covered by a boot of some sort.Peel this back and beside the lever will be either a rod with a nut on it,or it will have a recess for a screwdriver.with the h/brake off,do the adjustment by tightening it.When it's right, the h/brake should have to be pulled so 7 'clicks' can be heard.Hope this helps
No special tool is needed. You just need to remove the bolts holding on the calipper located on the back towards the engine on the A-Arm. Make sure not to loose the rubber gaskets and also make sure that you do not remove the brake line. Once the caliper is out of the way the rotor will baically fall off in your hands
open your bonnet check to see @ gearbox if the-res is cable, or a cylinder, the cable is Usualyvisible on the top of the gearbox if theres a cable theres no clutch flu-edneeded. Note that your gearbox uses oil. Usualy on older models like 1989 the use a clutch cable no flu-ed needed
Id be inclined to adjust the rear brake shoes How high do you have to lift the hand brake lever? Some service centres/mechanics adjust the hand brake cable and not the shoes as they should because its easier and quicker Its a short cut !!
