Question about 1989 Ford Festiva
Son is driving back as we (speak) and it keeps stalling as he is driving on the highway and pulls over, then has to wait 10 minutes before it starts again. Can't go over 80 km, anything he can do to make it home?
I had the exact same problem. The cooling fan was failing to come on and thus overheating the engine. Check the cooling fan, cooling fan thermoswitch, and cooling fan relay ( behind drivers headlight ). If you pull the connector off of the thermoswitch the fan will come on whenever the car is in "run"
