Are you saying your CD deck plays MP3 format? don't really understand what you are asking, if it is a factory unit you just put in a MP3 formatted CD and it plays.

If you just want to plug in your MP3 player to the radio open the glove box and you will find an MP3 socket near the latch of the lid. Plug in your player and press the auxilary button on the radio to get the player to work via the radio.

If your car stereo has an auxilliary button, you have an auxilliary input socket in your globe compartment

Not sure if the 05 Focus has a MP3 socket in the glove box. There are other 3rd party solutions. One of the easiest is to use something like the iTrip with your car radio. If you want higher fidelity, then either replace the head unit or get something like the Harmon Drive + Play.

SOURCE: My 2005 ford focus CD

It is very common on Ford models of that year to have cd's not eject. If you are using burned cd's, these are generally to thick for the player to handle. Working at the Dealership i have seen this many times. As far as the wiring harness, its colors should be the same as the old one , so you need to cut off the connectors and reattach.

My cd player in my 2005 focus will not release the cd that has been stuck for almost two years but will continue to play....what do I do?

If you want to limit your CD choices to one, do nothing. If this player did it once it will do it again so I recommend that you replace it. There are possibilities for removing the CD but in the end you will just get another CD stuck.

Ford Focus radio/cd player. FM goes off for no reason , then comes back on, on its own. Switching it on and off does not make any difference. Checked supply voltage all ok as is the earth. Joe

Worth checking whether it's not just traffic news coming on. The volume level is independent to the normal level and if you've lowered the volume at some point in the past it will remember that level.

2005 ford focus 6 disk factory cd player isn't working.

That is a load of croc what the dealer told you. They service every component on the vehicles they sell. Right down to a screw you may be missing. I'm just wondering if your car is still under warranty because I know a lot of dealers that will make excuses so they don't have to pay for the work out of their own pockets.
