Question about 2003 Chevrolet Impala
Wow, I just went through the same problem and guess what it was a clogged converter and a bad oxyegen sensor. The garaged fixed it up for me by putting an eco converter on it and a new O2 sensor. I have a 2003 Chevy Impala,V6 3.8 engine. Good Luck!!!!

The engine light has come on in my 2003 Chevy Impala. I don't know what to check to determine the problem. What steps should I take to correct the problem?

If nothing has worked for you, I would check your fuel injectors...one of them may be clogged causing you to loose power and your check engine light to flash when accelaration is needed.

Have the egr valve checked it can be that or a partially clogged converter
