Question about 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis
The problem is that the lights go on and off inside and outside of the car and you never know when it will happen. I turned the head lights off, but the inside still goes on and off by themselves and I take the keys out of the switch.
I even removed the fuse for the radio....
This resolves in a dead battery over time.
Had it to the Ford/Mercury garage but to no avail.
There is a LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE that controls interior and exterior lights As you can see the LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE is located behind the instrument panel in the center this is very likely your problem as is controls all the lighting in the vehicle.
