Air conditioning for my 2003 dodge 2500 cummins diesel only works on the drivers side and it does not go cold it goes just colder than room temperature and that only last for about an hour than it's like the servo doors close and there's no air at all coming out until I turn the truck off and start it again, than the air starts coming out again but it's not cold. The passenger side not matter whether It's on heat or cold the air coming out is at half the pressure of the drivers side. The heat works fine but the air conditioning does'nt work at all it just blows warm air or the same temperature of air that is outside. Thgen on top of that this truck is guttless I tried a bullydog PMT system that was installed by my Diesel mechanic and that didn't work rightat all it eventually fried my computer in my truck and I had to get the dodge dealer to take out the bullydog system and install a new computer frustrated with my dodge and ready to trade it in on something else because this has been a lemon. If you have any suggestions on my problems I would sure appreciate them thanks David Gronow Victoria BC Canada.
I have the same problem with my 2003 dodge 2500 Airconditioning. The driver side will cool (not very cold though) but the passenger side will not, it blows out nuke warm air. Sometimes both sides will quit blowing alltogether and it sounds like it is dumping it on the floor, i will have to shut the A/C off for awhile or restart the truck to get it to work. Any ideas on what is wrong?I have the same problem with my 2003 dodge 2500 Airconditioning. I have the same problem with my 2003 ram 3500. just bought it and its winter and it blows out cold on the drives side and hot on the passengers side. i did found a few bullitens on it though. 2 was on the blend door in the air box but im not for sure, i think the only was your going to know is if you take out the whole dash and split about the air box. on one of the bulletins it said the the pivot on the blend door will break or the blend door stopper will fall off and drop cause the door is go farther than was it should and no beable to return. I have an 06 Dodge 5.9L that has a light white smoke and rough idle when first ... 2006Ram 2500 QCSB 4x4, 3" Carli coils w/ 1" Daystar spacer, ... Still ran good tho, dispite the exact conditions you describe on Cold Start up.
Pull the blower fan motor out from under the dash on the passenger side, wash the box out with a water hose, then attach a piece of rubber hose over nipple that comes out of drain about 1" longer. Your condensate water is draining back inside truck through nipple to carpet padding
I had a 2001 Dodge 3500 with the same issue. In my case, the "air blend door motor" failed. I had it fixed at a Dodge dealership - the motor itself was only about $125 but it cost another $900 for labor - they had to remove the dash & center dash console in order to get to the motor. It did fix the problem though.
Please clarify the "loosing power" does it lose power and shut down or does it loose power but will idle? Your Cummins is electronically controlled so oil condition is important, fuel leaks, oil leaks, leaks in the air ducting between the turbo and the intake, sensors, water in the fuel. Do you get an engine light when this trouble happens? Dodge uses a lift pump to carry fuel to the the injection pump, is it working?
