Question about 1988 Plymouth Reliant
A free to me, dependable little run about, always had a bit of trouble shifting into drive when cold, or just for the first few times....still now ! it surges inbetween nothing [netrual,?] and some forward gear, not sure which, just going slower and slower till i parked it, now what, it has tranny fluid....could it be ? tranny filter ? or some very inexpensive little part thats malfunctioning in the vacuum system ? and not a new tranny what'ca think ?
Those trannys are the most troublesome that I know I owned a repair facility 14 years and across the street was a tranny shop they were forever doin those trannys but once properly rebuil and maintained las a good long time but as far a a quick fix none I know of ya gotta go into the thing so while your there have it rebuilt and be done the engines are really dependable
