SOURCE: 02 Jaguar S Type - Heater blowing cold air

Has the vehicle overheated recently, if not there is a failure of the Coolant from engine valve controller, that measures flow through the Heater Matrix. Come back with more, as necessary.

SOURCE: my temparature gauge stays on cold and the fans

get it looked at or you may set a code for the catalytic converter. When an engine stays cold you use more gas and wear out the cat way alot faster. I would hate for you to have to replace a severl hundred dollar cat all because of a inexpensive part like thermostat or bad sensor

Im having a coolant problem.got a P1299 code-high temp in cylinder head.Top of radiator not getting hot, like its not circulating???

O.K. STEVE ARINO THIS SHOULD BE A STUCK THERMOSTAT THE ANTIFREEZE COMES BACK TO THE RADIATOR THROUGH THE TOP HOSE SO IF IT IS STUCK THE COOLANT CAN'T GET BACK TO THE RADIATOR AND THE ENGINE IS HEATING UP SO THE FAN GOES ON THE ERADICT GAUGE BEHAVIOR IS ALSO FROM THIS WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS THE WATER PUMP IS ABLE TO PUSH COLDER COOLANT INTO THE ENGINE SAY THE GAUGE IS FEELING THE LOWER TEMPERATURE FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN IT GOES BACK UP TO HIGHER HOTTER THAN HELL GOOD LUCK! We had some subzero weather while I was on vacation. My 2004 Jaguar was parked outside for several weeks. We had another very cold, icy day, and heater did not work. Fan works, rear window defroster...

What is happening here is that the faster the heater blows air through the fan, the more it cools the liquid in the heater core, and so heat output is reduced. The root of the problem is either the engine is not warming up enough, or the heater core, and/or heater core lines, are plugged up, not allowing the water to circulate properly in the heater core. Here is what I would try.

1. Top off the radiator and overflow.
2. Is the engine warming up properly? Is your temperature gauge showing normal temperatures? If it is not, then replace the thermostat.
3. If steps 1 and 2 do not solve the problem, get the vehicle in a shop, locate the heater core lines, take them apart and flush out the heater core. Look for blockages in the fittings. Do a flow test on the core. It may be clogged and need to be replaced.

Running cooler than normal (indicated by temp gauge), hot air not hot, thermostat not the problem (recently replaced), check engine light NOT on.

as far as the temp of the air blowing...it in direct proportion to engine coolant temp...try a hotter thermostat....as for the faan running continuously that is a seperate problem and sounds like a faulty rheostat or fan switch...rheostat is elect, switch on the fan motor that enables different speeds and may beinternal on your truck. only parts store will know . if it is replace fan motor. if not , test switch and then test rheostat

Temperature knobs won't change temperature Chevy Tahoe

You likely have a HVAC control head failure. The rear heater problem is likely a door actuator, the rear wiper is likely a open wire in the door jamb in the top. The gauges are likely a cluster failure.

I have a 2004 Nissan Xterra. It is not cooling like it should. I changed the two filters behing the glove box. I checked the pressure and it is good. The compressor is coming on and sounds like the clutch...

When you say you checked the pressure did you connect gauges to the high and low sides to get both pressures, this sounds like it may be low. also what is the temp coming out of the vents. note on really hot days and humid the ac system doesnt cool as good unless the truck is moving down the road or highway and does take a while to cool down. at a stop or sitting or in traffic the ac temp will rise as the condensor needs to be cooled like the engine does, if its not cooling then the temp will not be cold, check the front of condensor for blockage, also make sure the fan is running with ac on. this fan should run when ac compressor is on,maybe clean condensor with water hose blowing from radiator outwardto front bumper, then make sure the hot/cold blend door is closing all the way,a quick test is to turn a/c on, turn temp control to hot and see if it gets hotter then back to cold and it should get colder. this sounds like the system may just be a little low. have an a/c tech check it, you may find its low or nothing is wrong. good day.

I own a jaguar s-type v-6. When the car is parked out in the heat and I turn the air on, the air from my vents comes out warm, as I drive the car it gets cooler. I think my fan is not working. If this is...

Hi!!
If the air gets colder on your side as you accelerate, it could mean that the blend door actuator (the one that controls the outside air entrance) could be faulty
It can also mean and most likely, that your system is low on R134a Refrigerant, (no more than a 340ml can,) you can get a gauge and refill kit at AutoZone or similar AutoParts or, take your vehicle to an A/C shop for service.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

Heater not working it is blowing cold air at all times is there a

Heater blowing cold air until I get on the interstate, then it works; however, when I stop at lights it starts blowing cold air again. The temperature gauge will be in the middle but the car will still be cold until the car starts moving.
