Nissan largo 1995 motors siezed, looking for new motor or a motor that is compatible with the engine mounts. please help me!!

My Nissan largo 1996 auto with overdrive , have had this problems for two years now she run ok to work and home and It been a great people mover BUT she goes ONE way, forward only , people don't know this coz I'm a PROFESSINAL driver hehe . No reverse I had jack up van sitting on four blocks disconnect cable from gear selector and manually shifting selector into forward gears -D-1-2 work by shifting into reverse nothing happen no sound of gear engaging or movement on the drivetrain to I need a new van ."... I was hoping to get another 150000 kms before up grading she had serve me well 270000 kms ... CAN YOU HELP?

Check on craigslist.com they normaly have alot of motors and parts on there. go to there car & truck parts and when you search for your car, only search for nissan. youll get more post doing it that way

Stand at the front of the vehicle and look on the right side of the engine, near the front. Next to the alternator - on the engine block- you'll see the dipstick tube.

The dipstick itself will probably have a yellow handle/grip

Free a seized engine

What I have done in my past is to loosen the motor mounts enough to push the motor forward. Just about an inch is all I did and no problems after when I put the transmission back in. Don't forget to remove the drive shaft first, and you must not forget to tighten the motor mounts back or you will cause a lot of damage!!! Best Wishes!!

Got a 1995 nissan maxima with 179,000 that hesitates or misses.

hello, also check plug wires,distributator, cap and rotor button, you can check plug wires,at knight time, crank engine, with hood up, walk around car, look at plug wires while motor is running, see if any sparks are coming from plug wires, also if it clunks, like you said, you may have broke motor mount, transmission mount, check for air lines leaking also

Well the problem is that i locked up my motor and my grandma has a toyota 1.6 leter engine she said she would sell me if it will fit. i was neeeding to know if it would be a quick fix or a hard lot of work...

making a very differant motor fit is very hard, then trying to make all the support systems work is very very hard!
a round peg in a square hole kind of hard.

Hi I want to replace my Fuel Filter on my Nissan Largo. Do you know where the fuel filter is located on the nissan largo? non turbo.

ALL fuel filters are fitted between fuel tank and engine so jack it up and look on both sides of the chassis and you will find it .. get a new one first and then remove the old one ,,refit new one the correct way around (arrow to front)

Motor mounts in nissan not lineing up

I had to pry the mounts foward by lifting the motor, slideing a short screwdriver in the guide holes then drop the motor. Worked ok but still not shure if that is normal for them to have so much tention.
