My 2006 Tribeca keeps draining the battery. I've been through 3 batteries already. If I don't drive it for 2 or more days the battery is drained and either doesn't turn over or after several tries does turn over. Then my check engine, cruise control, and traction lights come on and stay on. No one can seem to figure out what is wrong. I have to drive it everyday or just let it run in order to keep a charge. Could it be the computer system, electrical, fluids, lights, what do you think?

or any of several reasons:

  • You accidentally left the lights on or some other accessory that pulls power from the battery even when the ignition key is off.
  • The battery is not being recharged while the vehicle is being driven (you have a charging problem)
  • There is a key off parasitic electrical drain on the battery because a relay is sticking, a module is not shutting down, or there is a shorted diode in the alternator.
  • Your battery is old and will not hold a charge anymore. The battery needs to be replaced.

I had to jump my Subaru tribeca twice in two days due to a dead battery now the truck in constantly hard to start. Bettery starter and alt all checked out OK. Any suggestions

Sounds like either a bad connection, or something is draining the battery when it's turned off. Maybe you already did, but the first step is to make sure that the terminals are clean and tight, and wipe down the top of the battery. Dirt on the surface of the battery can connect the terminals and drain the battery.

2002 Rav4 Battery Keeps Draining, Could this be a short?

check for bare wires starting at the battery and move toward alternator. if a bare wire touches the car body it will kill the battery. basically check whatever wires you can see. otherwise, get an obd-II tester and see what code it gives you

Battery keeps draining already put in a brand new alletantor and brattery still draining and battery lights comes on and truck won't start

You would have checked the charging system before replacing the alternator, so I will assume the charging system is good.
If the battery is being discharged overnight or over a few days, you would need to disconnect it and check every circuit on the truck to find the drain.

240z battery drain

Have you confirmed by going out to the car at night that none of the interior lights or lighted visor lights truck or hood lights are staying on? That is by far the most common cause of a battery drain. Other less common cause is a defective alternator rectifier diode Disconnect the battery overnight as well to confirm you don't have a shorted battery cell, that to will run the battery down, it is called an internal drain. Also make sure the top of the battery is clean of any acid.

NEED TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT ON DRIVER SIDE OF 07 SUBARU TRIBECCA.

You need to remove the battery hold down bracket and scoot the battery towards the engine you don't have to disconnet the battery to do this, that way you won't lose your stereo presets. you will then have access to the bulb covers that twist off. They are marked on the covers for which way to turn them, also, do NOT touch the new bulb if you did not already know. I hope this info helps.

2006 tribeca battery running down, replace battery and still have to jump no draws could be found at shop, sometimes dont have to jump for a week sometimes next day

You might have a bad connection to the battery. I would retrace all wires and check them out. Have you checked your alternator?
