Out of balance tires, or tread wear, or you hit something that has miss aligned your front steering system.

My 2008 jeep patriot when u get to like 60mph the steering wheel jerks left or right and it jerks really bad when u hit a bump in the rode to I took it to a shop and they told me that it was the rear...

You have several arms and bushings that are a part of stabilizing and keeping the car going straight with no play in the steering. Have them all checked and replaced as needed. If one of the bushings was bad more than likely so are the other ones.

I would replace the speedo cable first, the least expensive part first,if that does not repair the problem try a replacement speedo.

My feont wheels shake somrtimes when i hit a bump

Hi Tony,

There is a problem with either the the wheel integrity, the steering linkage or all the above.

This is a dangerous and potentially life threatening situation.

As someone who has lived through a ball joint breaking off of it's connecting rod, I can tell you first hand that a steering wheel that doesn't steer is no fun at highway speeds.

Please have your vehicle looked at by a pro.
If you drive it, drive it slow, but drive it to a mechanic.

318I Feels like the car jumps to the side when a bump in the road is hit. what could make the car do this ?

possibly a bad strut.more likely it's a control arm bushing,a tie-rod end,or steering rack bushing.

Front end of my 87 jeep cherokee shakes bad when i hit a bump

May check your ball joints and tie rods. Also could be your shocks.
Does it seem like its more shaking on the left or right? or even?

Hit a curb 1999 Ford Taurus SE 16" wheels steering problem

It could be the steering rack but the first thing you should do is have an alignment job done. Even if there is another problem, the hit would almost certainly knocked your suspension out of alignment. So you'll probably need to get this done anyway. If there's still a problem after that, then I'd have your steering looked at. But the alignment may fix it entirely.
