Our radio, cd etc won't work, say code.

We had to replace our battery on our 04 Odyssey and now the radio, cd, etc won't work. I says code. I found the code but don't know how to put it in to fix the problem. Can you help me?

I have the same problem...I have typed the code in properly but it just said code error and despite repeating the proper code 10 times, I was kicked out of the system.

What else might work? Do I have to take it to the dealer?

The code should be a 5 digit numeric code with no valuer higher than 6. With the radio powered up, enter the code using the selector radio selector buttons labled 1 through 6.

Does the radio work at all. or is the cd player the only issue.? most of the time you need to enter a radio code to unlock the radio. If you enter it wrong to many times it will display error on the display.if you dont know the code then you can call the dealership and get the code after you do the following below to get the serial number.
Press and hold 1 and 6 on the radio while still holding the 1 and 6 press the power button. At this time it will read off serial number

The radio is displaying the word CODE which means you need to put in the code. The code is usually written in the owners manual or on a card that looks like a credit card. If you can't find the code, you will need to bring it to the Honda dealer and have them pull the radio to retrieve the code.

Late response, but for those who still have code problems on radio; I found the code for my 06' Odyssey was on the first page of service manual. The Owners Manual reads that the code should be on a card with the owners manual. I didn't find that. Hope this helps someone.

2004 honda odessey radio code

Need to reenter the radio code, it's normally located in the glove box or behind the radio itself, once found you should have about 3 tries to enter the code, if more attempts are needed, disconnect the neg battery cable for 5 minutes and retry.

Think there is a battery drain somewhere

Their is possibly a short. I would first isolate the problem. Disconnect the CD player and radio. If you can disconnect it then remove the radio fuse.

Start and drive the car for 15 minutes or so. Shut it off, and let it sit for a while. Then go out and start the car. Repeat this until you are sure that your problem is with the radio or wiring.

If The car fails to start and is having a repeat of the problem you have a parasidic draw on the battery from somewhere.

Most Honda dealer will give you the code for free. You just need to pull out the radio and get the model number and Serial number. Drive to the neareast Honda dealer ship.
