Did you check your CKP and CMP power wires for a short to ground? Short to ground up stream might be pulling the voltage low from the PCM. Also.. have you pulled up the underhood fuse block just to see if there's any rodent damage to the wiring under there? That's a pretty common spot for rodents to cause problems.

On a 2005 hyundai sonata I have a no start condition. Fuel pump works fine but getting no power to it. Fuel pump fuse is good. 2 things I can't find. A fuel pump relay and a fuel pump reset switch?

If you have a four cylinder, the fuel pump doesn't have a separate relay, but rather its relay is built into the ECM relay. This relay is behind the center portion of the dash bolted onto the right side support bracket there. It's powered by one of the 30A slow blow ignition fuses in the underhood fuse block.

If you have the V6, there will be two separate relays on the above referenced bracket. The fuel pump relay should be the lower one of the two. For this relay, power originates at the 20A fuel pump fuse in the underhood fuse block.

Hyundai's online schematics are an excellent tool for this task. Simply register for an account at www.hmaservice.com. When inside, go to the ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual) link in service information, select your year and model and MFI fuel system. The first page will show you the relay and additional information. If you click on the connector number for a component, it will bring up a separate window, in which you can click on links at the top to show a diagram of the connector, a picture of the component/connector, and a diagram of the wire harness in the vicinity of the connector.

On a NO Power to FUEL Pump Problem One Must ALWAYS Start from the Begining of the THAT CURCIUT, This Being the Fuse , Then The FUEL PUMP Relay , And Then WIRING , and LAST Is The PUMP Itself. Here is Info on the RELAY. rejakwilsoin @ aol.com < is my Email Address if you want More info Feel free to Contact me.

The Fuel Pump Relay is located in Underhood Fuse Relay Center. The Underhood Fuse Relay Center is located on the LH rear of engine compartment, on fender.

No power to the fuel pump. looking for a wiring diagram.

The 15a efi fuse pwoers the computer fuel system components including the pump. If you NEVER have pump power, I would check the FP terminal in the underhood diag connector...this is the FUEL PUMP POWER wire tap. If it never gets off zero at any key position (Run or crank) your problem is either wiring, the circuit opening/Fuel pump relay, or the efi main relay, or the fuse itself. If it has power in 1 position but not the other, suspect wiring, or possibly the airflow meter. fuel pump switch power is run thru the airflow meter, if its not hooked up, the fuel pump relay cannot be closed in the run position, or if its open internally or the contacts are bad.

2001 Will crank but wont start

Hi , these trucks are notorious for fuel pump issuse. (I have 2 in the shop now).First check for spark if spark is present then we need to check for fuel.if a presure gauge is avail, install the gauge and crank the engine.if presure increases to 50-60 psi fuek is probably not the issue. now if a gauge is not avail you can remove the air cleaner/snorkle assy.spray some carb cleaner in the throttle body, then try to start if (if it starts for a second the problem if fuel.now if it starts go under by the fuel tank, reach up (from the drivers side and unplug the fuel pump plug (4 wire) have some one crank the engine ande check for battery power on gray wire durring cranking,if battery power is present check black wire for good ground.if both power and grounds are present pump is no good.if now power then swap the fuel pump relay w/ same design relay (in the underhood relay center) relays are also a known issue w. the s and t trucks, good luck Thanks
