Better check it before it is to late ! .......Sounds like the fins are coming apart...could be lack up lube.
You may have a restricted or leaking oil feed hose. You will have to replace turbo if fins come apart.
Remove induction hose to turbo to check for worn fins,,,hope this helps..........Metalpoet.....cert.

Previous problem - hydraulic lifter noisy - car first lost oil hose to turbo - before this lifters, etc. were fine- 2003 PT cruser w/ turbo

that oil hose probably lost enough engine oil to starve lifters... but then again, that engine shouldn't have lifters since it an overhead cam... suspect your tappets were starved of oil... might come around, might not...

Ford f350 makes grinding noise and hold uneven boost

you probably need new turbo. check oil supply to the turbo. grinding noise sounds like bearings in turbo are overheating do to lack of oil and slowing down the turbo. that explains the uneven boost press.

2009 Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel Whistling coming from the Turbo

Turbos are noisy if they are working. If you have the 2009 6.4L they (twin turbo) should be pretty quiet unless you have aftermarket items installed. If no aftermarket mods have been done have the coupling joint between the turbos and the outlet gasket checked by your dealer.
If it a 2007 as the heading says the original air filter and exhaust muffle a lot of the turbo whine but not all.

Loss of power noisy engine turbo does not come in on a 19 tdi volkswagon sharan

Well,

The turbo bearing is gone. The turbo is not able to create enough boost. A local mechanic is going to have to change out the turbo. This is an expensive repair.

Good luck

possibly the turbo check the hose from the turbo to the intercooler rad aslo check the blades of the turbo for catching the casing and for lift dont forget mercedes turbos have very slight lift anyway.

Whistleing sound on golf gt tdi

It's probably the turbo you're hearing. They spin very fast and make a noise like that. Ever hear an 18-wheeler go by you and accelerate and they make that high-pitched whistle? That's the turbo spooling up. Now, if it sounds like a dentist's drill, that's usually a sign that the turbo is failing, but I'd bet that since your car is under four years old, as long as you've kept up on the maintenance, it's the normal turbo spool.

Diesel engine (2c turbo inport from china)

gday im a mechanic i have owned two of these in a lite ace and a tarago there are three possitions that the cam shaft can be aligned and not have valve piston contact the middle one is the right one the two ither side of the correct one cant breath properly smokes badly ,idels rough and extreem lack of power and excessive noise (cam belt one tooth out ) same if injector pump is a tooth out but noisier. you need to remove the fan hub bracket to see the timing mark for the IP drive pully also the injector pump internals can be assembled 180 degrees out resulting in injection at bottom dead centre , extreem noise ,heaps of smoke and will barely move the car in first gear also the crank timing mark is only visible with the front harmonic balance flywheel and timing belt cover removed . answer to the other question why not a rover diesel . the 2ct ues heaps less fuel revvs heaps harder comes factory balanced is heaps quieter and lasts heaps longer there is no contest with the rover diesel the 2ct weighs less to the down side is that the turbo usualy fitted on the 2ct is under sized and very short lived. boosts early for low down torq but is unable to breath at the high revvs that this engine loves. turbo getts too hot at highway speeds and melts bearings if not warmed down . mine has a water cooled turbo of a 2.8 izuzu motor from a trooper/jackeroo im soon fitting this engine and turbo into 79 chrysler scorpion. this engine when decompressed to 17 to one with hot glow plugs handles 30 psi boost, you can get three different thickness head shims for this motor to decompress , ignore petro company propaganda ive done 300,000+ kms burning everything from lard mixed with alchohol to canola and sunflower blended with jet fuel ,petrol, sump waste oil a good injecor pump will feed an engine anything thicker than kerosine so long as its hot(80 to 100degrees c) even lard and sumpoil the thicker the oil the more lubricating and the longer the pump and injectors last so long as the oil is well filtered and free of water
