My driverside windshield wiper is not working on my 2002 Hyundai Elantra, the passeneger side is working fine, that is my problem? When I open my hood and look at the driverside windsheild wiper, at the bottom of the wiper is what looks like a nut, but its not square its actually round, is that a nut?

What you are seeing is the pivot at the bottom of the wiper arm. The linkage from the motor should ba atached to there but has worn and fallen off. Its like a ball and socket joint ( like a hip joint) Look below it for a metal linkage with a plastic cup / socket on the end. You may or may not be able to click them back together, depending on how worn it is. If too worn, place a little baking foil ( aluminium paper) round the ball to take up the wear as a temporary ( get you home)repair.

That piece will pop off and the nut will be underneath. Tighten the nut and it should be good as new.

2000 hyundai elantra wipers not working

Try to remember when it stopped working. Was it due to heavy snow on the windshield? Did it start making noise before dying? This can pinpoint the answer to your question. Usually it is 2 possibilities, fuse is blown or the motor is burnt. Try the fuse first. Good luck!

Driver's side windshield wiper has stopped and i can still hear the motor working but it is not moving the wiper. i can get the nut off on the arm to remove the wiper but after that i cannot get the...

Hyundai started using plastic washers to hold down wiper arms. This is to prevent damage to the wiper transmission in cases where the wipers are either frozen to the windshield or trying to push too much snow/ice. To remove the wiper arm, you will need to locate the washer and remove it first. Chances are the washer will be the only part you need to replace.

Passenger side windshield wiper quit working on my 2003 Hyundai Elantra?

It sounds like the arm or stud or both may have stripped out. If there is a cap on the bottom of the arm there may be a nut under it. Take a look the nut might just have to be tightned. If not then remove the arm and look carefully at the arm and stud. If these appear to be ok chances are the link under the cowl that connects the left wiper link to right wiper link has broken. Good luck!

The driver passenger side windshield wiper just stopped working on my 2002 hyundai elantra

SO WHICH ONE?... DRIVER'S OR PASSENGER'S?
Never mind!.. if BOTH have stopped working, then it's the motor.. IF ONLY ONE has stopped working, it's the retaining nut!

While the wipers are in the parked state, just loosen off (or remove) the wiper arm from the drive spigot and re-position the driverside wiper arm to the correct position.
Re-tighten arm drive mount and all should be well.
