I have a similar problem to one I see listed earlier...I have trouble starting my '95 Mustang GT in the morning or after sitting for any length of time. Once it does start...it seems to work all day...as long as it doesn't sit too long. It may only be coincidence, but it seems to happen more when it's damp...I noticed this first during the winter months...when it snowed it wouldn't start...when it was cold and dry...first time!! I'm wondering if it's my fuel filter or possibly distributer related? Sometimes it starts...sometimes it doesn't. I have taken it twice to a mechanic...first time he replaced my ignition coil...when I picked it up...it wouldn't start. He then replaced just one cable...it started. A few days later...the same issue. I brought it back...noticed a small split on another cable jacket...this time he replaced the entire set...as he couldn't just buy the one cable (or so he said?). Days later...I have the same issue...I'll try the fuel filter this time (at least), but wondering if maybe there's a different in my case?? I'm already about $300 into repairs, and still have the same issue. Bummed.

Pull off your starter and have it tested at your local auto parts store while cold... you may have a weak solenoid or some corrosion on the starter ring gear shaft.

My 1988 2.3 liter mustang will not start after sitting overnight

Being that this vehicle is a 1988 it is most likely still using an electric choke. When your vehicle is cold (even just not warm enough) it needs a richer fuel/air mixture to start which is what the choke is there for. When you turn the key the choke will automatically shut so the suction from the engine will pull fuel from all circuits of the carb. Anyways.. long story short for some reason it would seem your choke isnt closing as it should. This is generally just a hot wire thats connected to your carb.... maybe a short maybe its stuck open for some reason.. idk but that is where you should focus your attention. Hope this helps.

Crank but won't start

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.

Popping noise when first turned on mustang gt 2004

Without testing we'd only be guessing ! Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop an have it diagnosed . Sound's like a engine misfire ,but like i said ,this is only a guess .

Took battery out when put back in engine turns over wont start theft light keeps blinking 2001 ford mustang gt

Undo the battery for 10 minutes, plug it back up, let the car sit for 20 minutes WITHOUT trying to start it, then try to start it. it should work.

Cold starting problem

It may be a good idea to get the heater glow plugs checked out. They are usefull first thing in the morning especially with the cold spell we are having.
