Have Focus Zetec 1.6 from 2003. My trip meter resets when raining and showing 0.0 for long distances. Also I spotted that whenever I turn ignition dashboard is not on (lamps are on but rest is not working for first 5-10s).

Re: Trip meter reset in Ford Focus Zetec 2003
Since you say that the odometer quits when it rains, I would say that you need to check the connection on the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission. Electrical grease would help to keep it waterproof.

There should be a peg or reset button next to the odometer. Pessimism and hold for 5 second or so. It should re.set to zero.
Your car has two resettable odometers Trip A and Trip B. They can be used to measure the distance of a trip. I normally reset A each time I fill the gas tank and B each time I get an oil change.
Nothing to worry about.
You can cycle through the three odometers by pressing the reset peg for 1 second or less. The third odometer view is the total miles on the car and cannot be reset.
