Ya, without that chip, the security system disables the starter. Check out this link for info and solutions. Any questions, comment back on this. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Could you help me have a 1995 Buick road master it have a remote start it starts with remote but want turn over or start with switch what's s my problem

Sounds as if wiring for the remote my have interrupted the ignition wiring. If it had been working and suddenly stopped, I would check for loose wire or bad ignition switch.

SWITCH IGNITION ON WITH MASTER KEY TO BE PROGRAMMED.TURN ON IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION.SYSTEM LED SECURITY LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE.LEAVE IGNITION KEY ON POSITION FOR 10 MINUTES UNTIL SECURITY THEFT LIGHT DISAPPEAR.THEN SWITCH OFF IGNITION SWITCH WAIT 5 SECONDS, THEN START THE ENGINE,THIS WILL HELP YOU FOR A WHILE BUT YOU NEED TO GET THE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM SCANNED CHECK OUT AT THE GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP.

CAR WON'T START, NOTHING AT ALL.HAVE LIGHTS,HORN WORKS CHECKED THE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM TO SEE IF IT NEED TO GET RESET

Most cars have an ignition chip on their ignition key. This is an anti-theft feature. If it gets damaged or your ignition switch doesn't read it properly your car won't start. Everything else will work your engine just wont crank over. You can replace the ignition switch and key or you could bypass this theft feature. Talk to a mechanic to locate your ignition wire under the dash near the steering column. You can get a resistor (at Radio Shack) that matches the resistance of your key. Cut the ignition wire and put the resistor in its place to reconnect the cut wire. If you cut the right wire and the resistor matches your key you can trick your onboard computer to allow the car to start. This is what I did rather than replacing the switch. Cost of this fix less than $3.00 this way.

I have a 1999 Olds Aurora. It ocasionally will not start. There is no problem with the battery or starter. When you turn the key the dash lights up but nothing happens. Its as if the ignition switch...

does the DIC say "Clean Key - Wait 3 Minutes"? If so, your PASS-Key II anti theft system is starting to act up. I had the same problem in my 99 Aurora for years, until I bypassed the key resistor with a resistor pack. Google "PASS-Key II Bypass" and you should find others with the same issue. Check this link out. http://vats.likeabigdog.com/
I went to RadioShack, bought a package of different resistors for ~$10, used an ohmmeter to measure the key resistor (they differ from car to car) and then made a resistor "pack" to mimic the key resistor. Now the tricky part is that you have to take off the dash panel under the steering wheel, cut the resistor sensor wires from the ignition switch, and then solder the resistor pack in between the cut wires. Basically you're fooling the system that the key is in the ignition. It hasn't been completely fool proof (when the car is really hot in the summer, sometimes I still have the same problem - may need more temperature stable resistors), but it has been SO MUCH better than before I did the bypass.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Ineed to know how to get the passkey off my 2002 pontiac grand prix

You cannot reset it... The computer checks for the current resistance every time you start the car... in other words... it resets itself everytime you turn the key on. If it still won't start the next time, its because it still isn't reading the correct resistance.

The only difference between the Passlock system and the older PassKey system is that the resistor is built into the ignition switch instead of the key. This way, any key that will turn the ignition will start the car (because turning to the on position lines up the resistor in the switch) but the car still cannot be hotwired. If one of the wires sending the resistance reading to the computer is pinched, severed or disconnected... or if the resistor in the ignition switch is worn, the computer cannot read the correct resistance and disable the starter and fuel injectors for 3-5 minutes. The resistor may just be dirty... buy "brake and electric motor cleaner" from NAPA and spray it in the keyhole. If this doesn't work check the two small wires going to the switch in the steering column or you may need a new ignition switch. If the ignition switch is replaced, the cars computer will have to be set to the new resistance.
Try to place in park, shut off the ignition and get out of car, locking it as to depart then unlock and get in, insert key, turn to ACC and turn the lights on and off three times then turn ignition off and on to start the engine. This may work, not sure.
Best of luck

Key will not engage ignition switch. Turns and gets power but stops at the ignition.

If you can't turn the key all the way to start, you need either a lock cylinder or an ignition switch...maybe both.
