The bolts next to the trans require you to bend your allen wrench to reach them. Espically when you install the new one. Other than that it is easy.

Your cheapest solution is to re-thread your pan and use a bigger plug. Your local shop should be able to do this cheap.

My oil pan drain plug was stripped when i bought the car new and had an after market temp. plug. I would like to know how to take off the old oil pan and replace with a new one.

you need to purchase a chiltons repair manual. no overly difficult but the front cv drive shafts and starter may need to be removed. be sure to drain all oil out of pan before removing. use a new pan and gasket. before to check the tightness of the new pan's drain plug before adding oil.

Replacing oil pan

not that hard, just the 4 bolts at the flywheel end can be painfull, there is a cut out in the flywheel to make it easier you will have to turn the engine over by hand to find them, use the proper vw sealant or you will have oil leaks,it aint cheap but its a lot cheaper than doing it again.......

Replace radiator on 2003 new beetle - 2.0 GLS

First you empty water, then remove fan, and radiator.
You need to follow the step by step procedure from a manual, buy the haynes manual for new beetle here is an example on ebay.
Replacing radiator is not a difficult operation, but if you do not do it properly you can damage your car, check that fan is working, water pump is running ok and that there is no leaking after doing the job.
