Using a ratcheting box end wrench works for me and many other TB and Envoy owners. Difficult little bugger with those lines in the way. Use the same method for the bottom bolt of the thermostat, same problem, IF that's what you're trying to get to.

How change the thermostat to a chevrolet trail blazer

Remove the alternator and the bracket. Easier to take off if the drivers front tire is off. Have fun with the 3rd bottom bolt on the alternator, it's a blast trying to get it off.

While you're removing the thermostat, you might as well replace the coolant temperature sensor like 2" above the T-stat. It's around $35 and very easy to do. The sensor screws into the block and has a wire coming off of it that will need to be unpluged to remove.

How to remove and replace a generator on 2000 Chevy blazer

First of all, there is no generator any more. I have a 50 Chevy with a generator. Generator is what was used to recharge batteries. Now they have alternators. First you take off your serpentine belt. The alternator should either have a plug in the back or a bolt sticking out with a wire leading to it. Unplug all of that. There shoud be two bolts on both sides you will have to remove. Then put the new one on and reverse the process.

Where are the sparkplugs located on a 4.2 inline 6 cylinder engine for chevy trail blazer

Under the top of the engine there is a cover. Remove this plastic cover and under you will find an individual coil on each cylinder held in place by a bolt. Unplug the coil, remove the bolt that holds the coil in place and twist apull up gently to remove the coil boot. Under the coil is the plug. Use platinum plugs that are rated for about 80k miles so you don't have to do this procedure but once every few years. Hope this helps, good luck

To change the bubs, the easies way Is to take off the front grill. the grill has 4 clips on the top (2 near each light) and 2 on the bottom (1 near each light) there is one in the center, behind the chevy sign. once the clips are off the light cage has two levers that must be pull (up) and then you can remove the light cage and replace the bubs by twisting them.

Loosen the upper bolt from the top and remove. From the bottom remove the adjuster bolt and remove. You'll have to remove the CV axle and remove the alternator from the bottom of the car. Not a very good design as you may already be aware of.
